St. Petersburg’s Zenit extended birthday greetings to Moscow Dynamo forward Ivan Sergeev via their Telegram channel. Sergeev turned 31 on Monday and marked the occasion by netting the decisive goal in Dynamo’s 2-1 victory over Krasnodar in the 29th round of the RPL. The loss prevented Krasnodar from reclaiming the top spot in the standings, as Zenit holds a two-point lead with 65 points against Krasnodar’s 63 heading into the final round. In the last matchday, Krasnodar will host Orenburg, while the blue-white-sky blues face a trip to Rostov. Sergeev previously played for Zenit from 2022 to 2024, winning three Russian Premier League titles with the club.
