The South Korean women’s sepak takraw national team has begun intensive training sessions with a top Thai club team as part of their preparations for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
The Korea Sepak Takraw Association announced on May 13 that the women’s national team is conducting joint training with the women’s team of Ratchaburi Club from Thailand at the Jincheon Athletes’ Village, as part of the “2026 Overseas Elite Athlete Invitation Project.”
A total of 29 athletes are participating in this training camp, including 14 South Korean national team players and 15 athletes from the Ratchaburi Club.
The training commenced on May 11 and will continue until May 19, featuring joint practice sessions and friendly matches, with the camp concluding on May 20.
The Ratchaburi Club women’s team also trained with the South Korean national team last year.
The association expects this joint training to strengthen the national team’s international competitiveness and serve as a valuable opportunity to assess the squad’s capabilities ahead of the Asian Games, which will kick off in September.
