
The Catalan club’s legal department is reviewing the statements made by the Real Madrid president.

Barcelona is analyzing the remarks of Florentino Pérez and is considering launching legal proceedings against the Real Madrid president. Following the controversial press conference held by the Madrid chief on Tuesday, the Catalan side issued an official statement.
“In relation to the press conference given by Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez, we inform that our legal department is carefully analyzing his statements and accusations. At this moment, we are reviewing them and evaluating the next steps. When deemed appropriate, we will communicate the positions and decisions that are taken,” the Barcelona statement reads.
During the press conference where he called for early elections, Florentino Pérez declined to discuss Real Madrid’s sporting situation, but directed multiple accusations at journalists and brought up the Negreira Case, which he described as “the biggest corruption case in history.”
